What Happened

State Police identified the people killed in a crash at Happy Valley Rd in Cave City, KY on September 20th, 2022. Officials say it happened around 8 p.m. According ti investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 28-year-old Singh Gill was headed southbound on Happy Valley Rd when it veered into a northbound lane to avoid colliding with a vehicle ahead slowing to make a turn. It collided with head-on with a GMC Yukon in the northbound lane, operated by 76-year-old David Hayes. Hayes and two passengers, identified as 54-year-old Katie Yoder and 55-year-old Daniel Yoder, were killed in the collision. Two other passengers, identified as 20-year-old Roseanne Yoder and a child under 18 were hospitalized in stable condition. Gill's condition was not stated and additional details were not available.
