What Happened

Kentucky State Police identified the person killed in a collision on US 79 near Allensville, KY on June 5th, 2022. Officials say a tractor-trailer operated by Alexander Fritton was headed northbound on US 79 when it collided with a man that reportedly entered the roadway carrying a chair. The man, identified as 33-year-old Justin Lambert, was struck by the truck which police say had slowed nearly to a stop. The impact pulled Lambert under the wheels of the vehicle where he suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
