What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-75 in Scott County, KY in April 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. According to investigators, an SUV and semi-truck were involved in a collision that occurred when two tires detached from another semi-truck. Report say one of the tires struck the SUV while the other struck the semi-truck. The driver of the semi-truck, identified as Lee Allan Hafer, was fatally injured. Two occupants of the SUV were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Authorities say they were searching for the location of the truck that lost its tires.
