What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured at least four people at I-495 in Forestville, MD on April 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11 a.m. According to investigators, a dump truck headed northbound on I-495 is said to have suffered a tire blow out, causing it to travel into southbound lanes. There, reports say the vehicle overturned and caught fire before an approaching SUV overturned while attempting to avoid the dump truck. Reports say at least four people were hospitalized with serious injuries. Authorities did not have any additional information was not immediately available.
