What Happened

State Police have identified the three people killed in a multi-vehicle crash on I-80 near Gibbon, NE on September 20th, 2019. Police say the crash occurred around 3 p.m. A semi-truck driven by 34-year-old Kenneth Kratt reportedly failed to slow in traffic and collided with the rear of another vehicle, causing a chain reaction crash. 50-year-old Daniel Seelhoff was pronounced dead at the scene. 37-year-old Ryan Vanicek and 54-year-old Scott Gaylord both died from their injuries at area hospitals. Four others, including Kratt, were treated for various injuries. Kratt was charged with three counts of felony manslaughter.
