What Happened

Edision Police are investigating a crash that injured a pedestrian on February 5th, 2019 in Edison, NJ. Police say the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. A pedestrian reportedly attempted to go under a semi-truck as a shortcut back to their hotel when the parked truck started up and drove away. The pedestrian was identified as 30-year-old Neal Patel. Patel was hit by the rear tires and then dragged 10 feet. He was hospitalized with serious injuries where he later died.
