What Happened

New Mexico State Police released the name of the man killed in a semi-truck accident in Dona Ana County, NM on December 31st, 2018. 56-year-old Eleazar Garcia-Chavez was killed when his vehicle collided into the trailer portion of a semi-truck that was partially blocking his lane. Garcia-Chavez was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say the semi-truck driver faces several violations. The cause of the crash is still under investigation at this time.
