What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at Needmore Rd in Dayton, OH on April 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:40 p.m. Investigators are saying a semi-truck headed eastbound on Needmore Rd turned into a private drive, proceeding into the path of an approaching motorcycle. The vehicles collided, ejecting 65-year-old motorcyclist Benjamin Alvin Ernst from the vehicle. Reports say Ernst was then struck by an approaching Jeep Cherokee, leaving him fatally injured at the scene. There were no other reported injuries and no additional information was provided.
