South Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a pedestrian accident at US 501 in Horry County, SC on February 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. A tractor-trailer headed southbound on US 501 collided with a pedestrian that was allegedly in the roadway at the time of the collision. The pedestrian, identified as 37-year-old Ricky Dale Wallace Jr, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The truck driver was not injured.
