What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Austin Hwy and Ira Lee Rd in San Antonio, TX on January 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang was traveling northeast on Austin Hwy, nearing a bridge. Upon reaching the bridge, reports allege the vehicle come into contact with a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. Reports say the Ford was found at the scene by authorities having struck a cement barrier and rolled onto its side. It was not confirmed if the Ford collided with there alleged wrong-way vehicle, which was not found at the scene when authorities arrived. Police say the driver of the Ford, 21-year-old Amanda Elmore, was seriously injured. Authorities also say a 24-year-old passenger, who was not publicly identified, was also seriously injured.
