What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured several people at I-20 in Midland, TX on November 26th, 2021. Police say it happened around 6:52 p.m. According their investigation, a Ford F-250 operated by an unidentified Odessa man collided with the rear of another vehicle, the impact pushing that vehicle into the vehicle ahead. The Ford then swerved from the road before returning to the road and side-swiping a tractor-trailer and colliding with the rear of another vehicle, the impact also pushing that vehicle into the vehicle ahead. 59-year-old Anthony Aguilar, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, suffered serious injuries. A passenger in a vehicle, 38-year-old Lisa Cano suffered minor injuries while the driver, 36-year-old Elias Rosales suffered unknown injuries. The Odessa man also suffered unknown injuries and was charged with Accident Involving Injury, Failure to Control Speed, DWLI and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
