What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 35 in Brazoria County, TX on July 19th 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:46 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by a 61-year-old Brazoria man was northbound, nearing the intersection with County Rd 192. The ethical is alleged to have ran a red light at the intersection, traveling into the intersection and collision with a Toyota Sequoia operated by 35-year-old Barbara Rocha. Police say Rocha was seriously injured while the Brazoria man had less serious injuries. Driving While Intoxicated and a Possession of Controlled Substance charges were recommended and/or issued.
