What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-30 in Garland, TX on November 15th, 2021. Officers say the incident happened around 11:09. A Mercedes-Benz operated by 43-year-old Benjamin Jordan Brown was headed eastbound on I-30 when it swerved into a a lane occupied by a commercial truck. Investigators say the truck attempted to brake to avoid the collision but was unable and the vehicles collided. Police allege Brown, who was seriously injured, fell asleep at the wheel. The other driver and his passenger were not injured.
