What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at Hillview Rd in Austin, TX on November 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:08 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Land Cruiser was headed eastbound, allegedly at a high rate of speed, before allegedly veering into westbound lanes. Once there, reports say the vehicle collided head-on with a Mitsubishi Lancer operated by 51-year-old Betha Vera. Vera suffered serious injuries, police say, and was hospitalized for treatment. The other driver, a 16-year-old male who was not publicly identified, was uninjured. Reports say the teen was later arrested for intoxication assault.
