What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at State Hwy 97 in Wilson County, TX on July 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:27 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 operated by 32-year-old Brittany Riley Schedler was eastbound on Hwy 97 prior to entering into a shoulder. Police say the vehicle turned left in order to travel onto westbound Hwy 97, turning into the path of an approaching tractor-trailer. The crash left Schedler and two child passengers with suspected serious injuries. The driver of the commercial truck was not injured, according to police. Additional information was not available.
