What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver on US 290 in Giddings, TX on December 29th, 2019. Officials say the incident happened around 2:37 p.m. A vehicle operated by 77-year-old Charles Mueller Sr reportedly suffered mechanical failure and became disabled in a travel lane. It was then struck by another vehicle, pushing it into the path of oncoming vehicles. Two vehicles that swerved to avoid it then collided with another vehicle, pushing it back into Mueller's vehicle. Mueller was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
