What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at Clark Rd in Dallas, TX on October 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:47 p.m. According to investigators, a Tesla Model 3 was allegedly headed southbound on Clark Rd, approaching a red light. Allegedly turning westbound onto Danieldale Rd from Clark Rd was a Kia Sorento with a green light. It was further alleged the Tesla ran the red light before colliding with Kia, the crash leaving 63-year-old Kia operator, Cheryl Brumsey, seriously injured. Reports indicate the other driver, a 52-year-old man who was not publicly identified, was uninjured. Reports also indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued against the Tesla operator. Additional information was not available.
