What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a child at 34th St and Helberg Rd in Houston, TX on February 3rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:57 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord was headed westbound on 34th St. At the same time, a GMC Suburban was pulling out of a drive, which authorities allege failed to yield while doing so. As a result, sources say the vehicle was struck by the approaching Honda, the collision leaving an infant in the Honda seriously injured. The others involved were allegedly uninjured and records indicate the operator of the GMC was cited for Failure to Yield. Additional information was not available.
