What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 71 in Bastrop County, TX on February 27th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:20 p.m. Investigators are saying a Honda Accord allegedly failed to yield before pulling away from a stop sign at an intersection. The vehicle collided with an eastbound Dodge Challenger, the crash fatally injuring 59-year-old Honda operator, Chile Domingo Mercedes.
