What Happened

Area authorities have information in a crash that killed a driver at FM 967 in Hays County, TX on November 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Buick Lacrosse operated by 38-year-old Christine Pompa was headed northwest on FM 967 when it allegedly failed to give half the roadway to an approaching Chevrolet Silverado.  The Buick is said to have veered into the path of the truck, the two colliding head-on. Pompa suffered fatal injuries in the collision while the 18-year-old driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
