Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Hwy 198 in Henderson County, TX on September 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:16 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet C1500 operated by 23-year-old Cody Brummett was headed northbound on State Hwy 198 at the time. Police believe the vehicle veered partially from the road, for unconfirmed reasons. While attempting to return to the roadway, police say the vehicle went into a skid. From there, reports say the vehicle overturned onto its side, striking a nearby tree in the process. The crash left Brummett with fatal injuries. Additional information was not available.
