What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at St Louis St in Gonzales, TX on January 12th, 2024.  Police say the incident happened around 11:03 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Pathfinder was westbound on St Louis, allegedly approaching another vehicle. Reports say the unknown second vehicle failed to yield to the Nissan, causing the Nissan to lose control while attempting to avoid the vehicle. Officials say the Nissan struck a light pole, continued westbound and struck a second light pole and fire hydrant before coming to rest. The driver of the Nissan, identified as 28-year-old Colton Filip, was seriously injured, reports say. Additional information was not available.
