What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 59 in Marion County, TX on May 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:32 a.m. According to investigators, a Mazda CX-5 was southbound before allegedly crossing a center divider, traveling southbound in northbound lanes. The vehicle collided with a Chrysler 300, operated by 21-year-old Courtney Massingill II, was seriously injured, reports say. A 26-year-old passenger, who was not publicly identified, was also seriously injured. The driver of the Mazda was also not publicly identified and also allegedly seriously injured. Sources indicate the driver was charged with Intoxication Assault. Additional information was not immediately available.
