What Happened

Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash at South Wayside Dr in Harris County, TX on November 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Investigators believe 43-year-old Cozell Taylor Jr was operating a garbage truck at the time and exited the vehicle. Upon exiting, it is suspected the vehicle may not have been put into park before it rolled forward, striking Taylor and pinning him between a nearby fence and dumpster.  The incident caused Taylor to suffer fatal injuries, reports say. Authorities did not have any additional information.
