What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a motorcyclist at TX 171 in Cleburne, TX on September 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:27 a.m. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by 35-year-old Dakota Ray Fulton was traveling southbound on TX 171 when it attempted a right turn onto Kilpatrick. Investigators say the bike failed to control its speed and struck a center concrete island, causing the bike to slide across from the road and Fulton to be ejected. He suffered serious injuries. Responding officers say a vehicle stopped at the scene and its occupants informed them they had allegedly previously been drinking at a bar with Fulton. Additional information was not available.
