What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed Vinick Ehlert Rd in Fort Bend County, TX on November 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:49 p.m. A Nissan Altima operated by 19-year-old Daniel Lara is accused of disregarding a stop sign at an intersection and traveling into the path of a southeast tractor-trailer operated by a 45-year-old Rosenburg, TX man. The impact caused the Altima to spinning into the the rear of the truck where a second truck collided with the Nissan. Both Lara and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle on impact and suffered fatal injuries. The first semi-truck continued until it struck another commercial truck operated by 55-year-old Albert Martin Tinoco before catching fire. Tinoco also suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
