What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at  FM 723 in Fort Bend County, TX on February 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 59-year-old Nicolas Medina was headed southbound FM 723 as a Ford F-150 operated by 37-year-old David Rivera was stopped in traffic. Police say the tractor-trailer failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a the Ford, causing minor injuries to Rivera. Medina was not injured and records indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended or issued.
