What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 84 in Cherokee County, TX on April 2nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry was westbound before allegedly entering into an eastbound lane. Reports allege the Camry attempted to re-enter westbound lanes prior to colliding with an eastbound Toyota Tundra. The driver of the Tundra, identified as 27-year-old David Lewis Shoemaker and 25-year-old passenger, Rebekah Shoemaker, were both seriously injured, reports say. A 25-year-old passenger had possible injuries, as did two child passengers. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly seriously injured.
