Police say the incident happened around 6:29 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Taurus operated by 34-year-old Deniro Sharod Haynes was headed southbound on US 59 approaching a yield sign at the Hester Rd intersection. Officers allege the vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and struggled into a southbound main lane. It collided with a commercial truck operated by 28-year-old Liberty, TX man.
