What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people at Bellmead Dr in Bellmead, TX on September 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:10 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Avalon operated by 81-year-old Jean Popham was westbound on Bellmead Dr before allegedly attempting to turn left onto Williams Dr. Police allege the vehicle pulled in front of a commercial truck causing a Chevrolet Sonic to collide head-on with a Toyota Avalon. The collision caused the Toyota to spin into and strike the commercial truck, leaving Popham with injuries believed to be minor in nature. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 73-year-old Donna Graham, had suspected serious injuries while a passenger, 73-year-old James Graham, had less serious injuries, according to police.
