What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crab that injured a pedestrian at US 259 in Upshur County, TX on April 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:37 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C1500 was southbound on US 259 at the time before veering from the roadway into a west shoulder. There, reports allege the vehicle struck the driver of a stalled vehicle who had recently exited the vehicle and was standing near the hood of the vehicle. The driver who was struck was identified as 21-year-old Dylan Reddock, who authorities say was seriously injured in the collision. The driver of the Chevrolet was not publicly identified and allegedly uninjured in the collision. Source indicate the driver was charged with Failure to Stop and Render Aid and Intoxication Assault.
