What Happened

Area authorities have details on a single-vehicle crash that killed a driver at Cienegas Rd in Del Rio, TX on January 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:10 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 21-year-old Eduardo Muniz was headed eastbound approaching a curve in the road. The vehicle is believed to have started to drift from the road before losing control. Ot went into a spin, causing it to strike a nearby guardrail before overturning into a fence line. The vehicle overturning caused Muniz to be ejected, leaving him with fatal injuries. Police had no additional information to share at this time.
