What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 71 in Columbus, TX on April 5th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:09 p.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer headed northbound allegedly failed yo yield at a yield sign, proceeding into the path of an approaching Honda Civic. Authorities say the two vehicles collided, the collision leaving 22-year-old Honda operator, Erica Manzera, seriously injured. The tractor-trailer operator was allegedly uninjured and cited for Failure to Yield Row Turning Left. Additional information was not immediately available.
