What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at FM 3175 in Atascosa County, TX on September 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by a 65-year-old man was headed eastbound on FM 3175 before colliding with the rear of an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado operated by 59-year-old Ernest Flores. Officials allege the operator of the Ford was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Police say Flores and two passengers, including 51-year-old Bertha Flores, suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. Sources indicate charges for Failure to Control Speed, Intoxication Assault and Driving While Intoxicated were recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Ford.
