What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Cameron Rd and Cross Park Dr in Austin, TX on April 13th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado allegedly headed southbound in northbound lanes before striking a curb and veering partially onto a sidewalk. The vehicle is alleged to have traveled a short distance on the roadway before re-entering the roadway and colliding nearly head-on with a Honda Accord. Reports indicate the 26-year-old driver of the Honda and a 26-year-old passenger were seriously injured while a third passenger had possible, unconfirmed reasons. The driver of the Silverado allegedly had less serious injuries and was charged with Intoxication Assault. Additional information was not immediately available.
