What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people involved at I-610 in Bellaire, TX on March 28th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:15 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord headed northbound on I-610 is allegedly to have run a red light at the Fournace Place intersection. There, reports say the vehicle collided with an eastbound Honda Civic, operated by 64-year-old Gualberto Blanco Perez. Authorities say Perez was seriously injured in the collision while the other driver, who was not publicly identified, allegedly had less serious injuries. Sources indicate that driver was charged with Running a Red Light. Additional information was not available.
