Area authorities identified the person killed in a crash at Beckley Ave in Dallas, TX on September 24th, 2023. Officials say it happened around 3:16 a.m. and named 20-year-old Homar Lomas Jr as the victim. Investigators believe a Toyota Camry operated by Lomas was southbound, allegedly racing a second vehicle. At some point, police allege the vehicle approached a row of vehicles stopped for a red light and veered into a different lane in order to avoid a collision. Police say a tire on the vehicle struck a curb while the vehicle was traveling at a higher rate of speed, causing to to lose control and veered into a median The vehicle also struck a road sign, causing the vehicle to nearly split apart and overturn.
