What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured two people at I-20 in Ward County, TX on March 1st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:22 p.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac CTS was sat disabled in an eastbound lane of travel as a Toyota Highlander approached. Reports indicate the Toyota collided with the disabled Cadillac, the impact pushing the Toyota from the roadway into a shoulder. Officials say the driver of the Cadillac, identified as 25-year-old Isaac Rodriguez Mendoza, was seriously injured. Also seriously injured, police say, was 49-year-old Toyota operator, Loretta Keleher Wills. Officials add that a 14-year-old passenger in the Toyota suffered fatal injuries.
