What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 175 in Kemp County, TX on January 10th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:21 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 24-year-old Weslaco man was headed eastbound on Hwy 175 when began turning left across the westbound lanes to a shoulder. Officers say the vehicle was struck by a westbound Lexus ES 350 operated by 47-year-old Israel Tarango Antunez. Antunez was seriously injured in the crash. The other driver was not injured and cited for Failure to Yield Rod from Stop Sign.
