What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Miller Rd in Garland, TX on November 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:54 p.m. Investigators say a a westbound Chevrolet C1500 was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed prior to veering from its lane. Authorities say the vehicle attempted to correct back onto the road before oversteering and colliding with a Toyota Tacoma. Reports say the Chevrolet lost control in the impact, traveling across eastbound lanes and colliding with a Hyundai Elantra operated by 59-year-old Jack Clerc. Police say Clerc suffered fatal injuries while the occupants of the Chevrolet were each seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
