What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at West Little York Rd in Houston, TX on October 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4 a.m. The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu was standing near a disabled vehicle that was stopped in a middle lane when a passing Nissan Rogue collided with the driver. The driver was identified as 42-year-old Jamal Rashad Kennedy, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The driver of the Nissan stopped and remained at the scene for paramedics. Investigators say the driver, age 24, showed no signs of intoxication and was released after questioning.
