Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 1960 in Dayton, TX on October 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:37 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer 41-year-old Samuel Godinez was making a left turn from a stop sign before traveling into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 79-year-old James Van Norman. The two vehicles collided, causing fatal injuries to Van Norman. Godinez was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
