What Happened

Texas Department of of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 290 in Manor, TX on October 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota 4Runner operated by a 27-year-old Elgin man was headed eastbound before colliding with the rest of a tractor-trailer under unclear circumstances. The vehicle became punned between the truck bed and tires and was dragged along for several yards before coming to a stop. The crash left a passenger, identified as 25-year-old Jasmin Alonso, with serious injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were uninjured and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge against the Elgin man.
