Montgomery County Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at East Martin Dr and Wayne Rd in Porter, TX on December 31st, 2021. Polices ay the incident happened sometime before 9:20 p.m. An Acura passenger sedan is said to have been traveling eastbound on Martin Dr at a high rate of speed before colliding with a Ford F-350. Investigators say the Acura was on the wrong side of the road in a no passing zone at the time. The driver of the Acura, 34-year-old Joel Christian Birden, died at the scene. The Ford drive and two passengers suffered minor injuries. Additional information was not available.
