What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at FM 2504 in Atascosa County, TX on March 27th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:42 p.m. A Ford Mustang headed eastbound is said to have allegedly veered out its lane before colliding head-on with a westbound Toyota Tacoma. Reports indicate the driver of the Toyota, identified as 37-year-old John De La Garza and two passengers, including 61-year-old Maria De La Garza, had non-life-threatening injuries. A 25-year-old passenger in the Ford is said to have been more seriously injured while the condition and identity of the driver were not confirmed and allegedly suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
