What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Barker Cypress Rd in Harris County, TX on August 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:13 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Cruze operated by an unnamed 17-year-old Katy teen was headed southbound before failing to control its speed. It then collided with a Mazda 3 occupied by five individuals. Four passengers suffered minor injuries while the driver, 45-year-old Jorge Hernandez, suffered serious injuries. The teen was also seriously injured and officers recommended a Failure to Control Speed charge.
