What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Sam Houston Pkwy in Houston, TX on February 25th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 12:54 p.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra was headed eastbound on Beltway 8 service road before allegedly running a red light at an intersection. As a result, reports say the vehicle was struck by an approaching Hyundai Elantra, causing the GMC to lose control and strike a nearby Dodge Ram 1500. Reports say the Dodge operator, identified as 48-year-old Jose Pineda, was seriously injured. The other drivers, who were not publicly identified, both were allegedly uninjured.
