What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at FM 1462 in Fort Bend County, TX on February 29th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:42 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado is said to have been headed eastbound on FM 1462 before passing another vehicle, allegedly at a high rate of speed. The vehicle is said to have swerved eastbound in a westbound lane before colliding head-on with a tractor-trailer. The crash left the driver of the Silverado, identified as 60-year-old Joseph Castillo Jr, fatally injured.
