What Happened

A single-vehicle crash led to the death of a driver at FM 1616 in Henderson County, TX on November 9th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Cherokee operated by 22-year-old Juan Juarez III is believed to have been headed southbound on FM 1616 at the time. As the vehicle approached a curve in the road, it went into a skid, allegedly due to possibly traveling at an unsafe speed. The vehicle veered from the road and hit a tree, before overturning into a second tree. The collision left Juarez with fatal injuries. Authorities had no additional information to share.
