What Happened

El Paso Police released the name of the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash at Dyer St in El Paso, TX on January 26th, 2019. 47-year-old Juan Manuel Pasillas was killed when he was struck by two separate vehicles. Police say Pasillas failed to yield at a red light and was stuck by traffic that had a green light. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 23-year-old Jorge Benjamin Meza was arrested and charged in the accident. A second driver that also struck Pasillas and two pedestrians that were with Pasillas fled the scene.
